Take a look at Sonicwall Pro series. They do all you have asked for, and offer a web based interface to configure. There are wizards or you can choose to do it yourself.
A sonicwall is much simpler to configure and will provide you with a host of features you might not otherwise have. Site to site VPN and a vpn client are features you want, plus you can optionally enable many others. All configuration is done via a staight forward browser based interface. Our...
It sounds like you need to have split tunneling enabled. This needs to be done at the remote side, in your case the UK when the Cisco hardware lives. Once this happens you then need to configure you client for split tunneling as well. Be aware that some sites reuse to enable split tunneling as...
You did not indicate if there is a firewall appliance involved that might have VPN capabilites. If not, it would seem that your best bet is to add a small inexpensive applicance that will allow you to make a VPN connection. Sonicwall makes one that would do the trick for under $500.
Heres a thought.... If the traffic is coming in on ISP#1 then the return via ISP#1 is not being permitted. Can you guarantee that only ISP#2 is being used for the incoming query? If not, you will have to handle both cases.
Has anyone successfully connected a d2d2t device to a p5 series with AIX 5.3? If so, what was the device, and what did you have to go through to get it to work.

How about something from the network side. Any chance your isp or local area network is taken down on Saturdays for maintenance or whatever? Try disconnecting the wan cable on the Sonicwall, then put it back after a minute, and see what happens. The Sonciwall should handle this, but as you point...
Take a look at glvm (geographical logical volume manager) from IBM. It is included with AIX 5.3, and since you already have HACMP, it it totally automated. It can be run with or without HACMP, but the recovery steps are manual without HACMP.
