    SAL Server Long Connection Durations

We are running a standalone SAL Server that shows long connection intervals via port 443 to Avaya IP 135.11.X.X. Is this normal? I know the SAL server generates heartbeats to Avaya and sends alarms via SNMP but we should expect shorter connection intervals for this traffic. iggy1952

    Remote SIP Phone

We are running Session Manager 7.1.3 and have a remote user on a 9641GS phone who keeps getting logged off (message on phone states extension being used by another user). I have deleted and rebuilt his extension from scratch and the problem keeps occurring. I ran a traceSM and could find nothing...

Session & SMGR Servers VMware Certficates

kyle555, Thank you for your response and words of warning as I have the same concerns after reading some previous posts about the pitfalls of certificates. Our Business Partner previously applied both root and identity company domain certificates to our Session Manager and SMGR servers...

    SMGR & Session Manager Servers

WE are applying our internal CA certificates to the VMware AVP platforms on our HA SMGR and SM servers running 7.1.3. I know how to apply the cert and reboot the VMs from the VMware but I am not sure correct shutdown procedures for SM and SMGR servers running geo-redundancy. iggy1952

    SBCE 7.1.3

wpetilli, Thank you as this was my understanding. If we separate the SBC pairs the standby does not process SIP traffic as the signaling and media interfaces have the same IP address. Additionally the SBC's are synchronized via the heartbeat with the EMS server. Since the public and private...

I have a user using the dual registration feature. His office phone is an H.323 9670 set and his home phone is a SIP endpoint on a 9641 set to SM via an SBC. We are on CM & SM version 7.1.3. SIP w/PRI Handoff Trunk Question

mkh9, We have installed AT&T IP Flex circuits using PRI handoffs. AT&T installs the edge router via fiber to your computer room and supplies a crossover cable to your PBX. You should be able to maintain your current trunk and signaling configuration in your CM. I did not have to change any...

    Remote SIP Phones

kyle555, Avaya released a hot fix for SMGR 7.1.3 that fixes this issue with dual registration. Dual registration provides us a workaround for the bridge appearance issue for now. Our BP is assisting with the bridge appearance and I willa dvise result of their testing. iggy1952
