Some of the newer multi function machines present themselves as modems not faxes. If you have CM 5.x you can set the "xoip" option on the station form for fax or modem. If you do not have CM 5.x you can set both fax and modem to pass thru.
This may not solve all of your issues, but it should...
Is it possible that the internal caller was talking on a different phone?
Incident:
Caller A was on a conference call, Caller A was using a headset, Caller A thought that they had put the conference on Mute. Caller A made a call on cellphone. Everyone on the conference heard Caller A talking...
If you do not have the correct permissions set, can you use the current login to create one that does? I know it sounds funny, but that is what I had to do to make mine work. I created "REMOVAL" as a superuser and then gave that login full rights in the switch via the permissions page...
No you do not need to involve avaya. I am assuming that since you have removed the stations and trunks that you have an existing login to this PBX already.
All you have to do is run the "List Login" command and write down all the logins that you want to remove. Then just run the "remove login...
Does anyone know where I can find some online or CBT training for the Cisco Call manager and Unity products? My Cisco rep tells me that he is not really sure about training and that most of the engineers he works with barely know the Call Manager?!!! UGH

I have verified that switch hook flash is set to "y". I have also been discovering that the analog hold feature is not working corporation wide on the S8xxx media servers, but it works fine on the older systems. Is this a design failure from Avaya?

I am using partition routing in conjunction with ars. I am wondering why I can dial the cellphone directly (and it goes through) but the system can not dial the cell phone number. I am at a total loss as to why. I am able to dial the cellphone using the 7 digit number (without area...
Ok. I ran "list trace...." and discovered that it is attempting to place the call to the cellphone, but it is only dialing the first 8 digits NOT the full ten digits of the cell number. When I dial the cell number directly it shows the first eight, then on the next line down (in list trace...
I have a T1 for outgoing calls and the carrier medium is set as PRI/BRI; Group type is ISDN.
When I tried to set the trunk group in the "off-pbx station mapping" screen directly (as opposed to using ARS or AAR) the calls still did not go to the cell phone. any thoughts?
I do have the licenses and have set the FAC for enabling/disabling EC-500. I have also set the button on the telephone for this feature. The problem is this: When a call is made to the extension set up for ec-500, the caller hears ringing signal, the host telephone rings, but the cellular phone...
I have spent several hours attempting to make the EC-500 function work. I have gone through the recommended setup. I have created the FACs as directed. Set the station mapping up from host phone to cell phone. Called the cell phone to ensure service is active. Traced the ARS of the cell phone...
