    Having a problem with columns

    My suggestion is to use InDesign. What you are trying to do is not one of Illustrator's strengths. A page layout program will achieve this much better.

    blueark is right, and the "CS" stands for "Creative Suite". The Creative Suite package was introduced a couple years ago by Adobe, when OSX apps were first coming out. Creative Suite was a package of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. CS2 is the next version of Creative Suite.
