Using MARP I have setup a phone that rings at two different sets at the same time, and this works fine. Now what the person want’s is that when she gets voice mail that the message lamp lights up on both sets. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks.
yeah, that's a good point John. We have two or three people here that have acces, and we 'allowed' our data outsourcing firm access. I was a little puzzled how the data folks could fix a telco issue but I'm just a drone in sector 7.
Thanks for the reply guys. PerrryPJ voiced my concern. How did this setting get changed? We haven't had anyone here how could have changed that. Weird. And a little disconcerting.
Can anyone tell me how to turn on MARP in ld 17 WITHOUT screwing with the other settings? I’m very leery of changing stuff the NTP says at the beginning ld 17 “The following values should be set at the factory. However, it is recommended that these values be reviewed during initial...
I have a problem that has recently cropped up. When folks dial 800 numbers they get a fast busy. There doesn't seem to be a particular 800 number or phone that causes it and it’s random. The call will go through eventually, if the person just keeps trying. I’ve called our carrier and they say...
No, we don't want any outbound numbers from any phone appearing to the called party. We are a defense contractor. Security stuff. Or so I've been told. I'm just a drone in sector D. (: Thanks.
Well, my super had to eat a little crow. Hawks hit it. By evoking 'Calling Party Privacy' (CLBA) the called party display reads 'withheld'. Now what my boss wants is for this to say something other than 'withheld'. Any clues on this? I really appericate all the help you guys have provided...
Thanks folks. John, my supervisor agrees (he's an old army telco guy) and said that our provider is full of it. But, he is saying that it is the provider that does the blocking. this isn't what I getting from the above. Sounds like I can restrict the clid and it doesn't do a thing to 911. I'm...
I need to have all calls that go out from my facility be received by the called party as 'unknown number' 'unknown caller', something to that effect. It is my understanding that this is the responsibility of the service provider but they say they can’t do this because it would block 911 calls...
I need some help on how to get a number in my speed call list to pause/by-pass when a number is dialed and then encounters an automatic voice system. This is what I have in my SCL:
00 98002253956
This works fine. When the code ‘00’ is entered, the number is dialed and the system answers...
Can anyone tell me if it’s possible to program the HOT L (intercom key) to have more than one DN associated with it? If not, can a Group Call list be created and referenced instead? Thanks.
Need some help.
I've a Nortel Meridian 1 Option 11.
When I login to the system, I'm getting the following:
ERR5098
This message scrolls constantly on the screen. I’ve been able to locate what this means (to Nortel) but I don’t know what action to take. From what I’ve gleaned from the NTP’s is...
