Not sure what versions you are running, but have seen in the release notes recently an entry describing this - phones logging back on after being logged out and reset/rebooted. Pay to check the latest release notes for your version.
In the 5.2CMM, the help file says you can use an 'e' to immediately expire the password, but it doesn't let me enter this - says must be digits only. Any ideas?
We want to force users to change the password during the first log on.
Getting a "No data to Display" error on several different servers all running 5.1 and latest patches, when viewing NTP Sync.
Firewall open etc. etc.
Have seen a new entry in the ntp.conf file that have heard is the cause, but no way to edit this file. Anyone heard of a workaround or patch for...
Thanks for the doc link, haven't seen that one before, very useful.
We have this setup working fine with Windows servers, meaning phones can boot during a WAN outage and register to the LSP OK, and haven't noticed any adverse affects when doing it this way.
The Avaya doc "Avaya IP Telephony...
Thanks, tried without the space and no difference. Seems to ignore the 242 scope completely.
Mitch,
The second address is an LSP, but is required to be there in case the phone reboots during an outage of the primary server.
If the main server is active, the phone should register to that before...
Has anyone managed to get a Linux DHCP server to issue an alternate gatekeeper address in the DHCP offering?
We have the setup working fine for a single MCIPADD address, but the scope appears to be ignored if we add a second address to the scope.

Hi, I have SIP (D-Link DPH-C160s) phone running off a v4 SES server on ACM 3.1.4 set up mas OPS.
When the SIP phone calls another station and hangs up during the ringing phase, the SIP phone sends a CANCEL message as expected.
This message appears to be ignored, and the ACM continues with...
dwalin,
Interesting you say isn't mysterious, when Avaya themselves couldn't say exactly when they were consumed... :-)
It depends very much on the application (as you say, depending on the recording system), and that was my question - with Verint active recording did we need the license...
Problem turned out be the License file location setting, was set to US, so wouldn't recognise Europe boards. Silly mistake, hopefully learned and not forgotten....
96xx verison 2.0 will do it if the number matches one in the phones Contact list
Number stored in the phone must be same or longer than the received CLI
When using the phone directory search feature, it searches based on the last name. Is there any way on CM V5.0 to search on first name, without having to re-enter every station name in the system?.
Yes this is set correctly.
Went ahead and got IA770 up and running, so VoIP OK.
Have manually reset the SIPI and re-programmed for static IP, still no change.
Yes, both terminators. 8400 has latest patch loaded, same wth IPSI and other IP cards.
Tried 3 different cards, different slots etc, all the obvious, but obviously missing something.
Setting up a new single G650/S8400 on ACM 5.0
All is OK, except no TDM cards are recognised by the system (Disp Circ or List Config all etc.)
IP Cards - Medpro, CLAN, VAL are OK, and so is TN771 Maint card - all are showing up.
No alarms in system.
Get 2 aborts (1005 code) with test Tdm-bus...
AES Server TSAPI Licenses - When viewed in WebLM, I have X number. When looking at TSAPI Connections in Admin, I have X plus any current calls being recorded.
According to Avaya docs, Call recording using CMAPI and 3rd party (in this case Verint) recorder should use 2 TSAPI during each...
Discovered the UDP reange in the network region needed to be increased before it will allow you to increase the channels on the medpro. Did this and can now increase it to 320 channels.
