The Audix has been physically removed and all translations removed from the PBX as well. I thought about that as a part of my troubleshooting, which prompted me to do away with the Audix related translations. Still, it's apparent that it's the AVST turning on...

Interesting problem here. I have 7 users who are using Message Manager to retrieve fax messages that are being delivered via 7 different Toll Free numbers down a 96-member trunk group. All are set up as VDNs directed at a Vector using the Messaging step to the Audix hunt group...
Have the user check out Outgoing messages as well. If they routinely log into their voicemail box and record messages for others it keeps a copy in the Outgoing folder.
In the Audix list meas sub day xxxx will show you how much space is being utilized for a specifer subscriber.
