Hello all
Someone just transfered a call to our paging extension. Trust me when I tell you this was very very very bad. Is there a way to restrict certain people from being able to access the overhead paging?
Thanks in advance.
I have a secratary who has 4 lines on her phone. Her primary line appearance, secondary line appearance, our CEO (brdg-appr), and CFO (brdg-appr). When she's on a call on her line, she wants all lines on her phone to ring so she can try to answer them before they go to VM. Is this possible...
Is there a way to request a specific prefix for a business? I'm responsible for our phone system and we're adding some extensions that fall outside our DID dialing plan. Example internal ext. 224 is 212-555-1224. Our block is 100-399 example: 555-1100, 555-1101, etc. This leaves a whole...
You're absolutely right. I should be held hostage for $95 each time I want to take advantage of something I've spent thousands of dollars for in the first place.
Thank you for your intuitive response.
My site has an old option 11 and a new avaya definity. Our phone vendor charges us $95 each time we migrate someone off of the nortel and on to the Avaya. Does anyone else know how to do this?
I appreciate the feed back. I'm certainly not a Nortel lover/expert, but it's what I'm most familiar with. Purchasing the Avaya was a big step for me, but there have been sooooo many little "gotchas" that it just seems never ending. I did call the vendor with my boss and we had a somewhat...
Hello everyone. I'm originally from the planet Nortel. My company (a fairly large hospital) has purchased a new VoIP phone system from Avaya. We have integrated the two systems with the hopes to eventually phase out the Nortel completely (eventually). We have modular messaging on both the...
When you dial 0 and the TGAR is 1 you get a fast busy and it doesn't ring the new switchboard consoles. If you change TGAR to 2, then it works fine.
This is coming from the Avaya folks.
We just integrated our Avaya IP phone system with our old Meridian system. I need to make every set on the Nortel side have a TGAR of 2. Is there an easy way to do this.
Also, let me just say, I'm not bashing... but I like my Nortel system much better...
Please, thanks, and Merry Christmas!
There is some kind of big box that has all kinds of serial connections and a spot for a printer that is independent of the pbx itself. I think it also calls the telco for certain fault codes (but I could be wrong)
I had this info once upon a time, but now we have a PC connected with VNC so we can just do it via the network.
Now we're working on installing our new VoIP system, and they need to have access to the switch. I have my level 1 and level 2 passwords, phone number to dialin etc, but there is a...
We have two off site locations. One that has an older Norstar key system and the other site has a much newer norstar key system. How does one go about seeing if the phones from one can be used on the other?
We're getting ready to start implimentation of a new Avaya VoIP phone system that will be integrated with our Nortel Option 11c. Eventually we're going to replace the Nortel equipment all together.
One of the things they're pushing for is to keep us on a 3 digit dialing plan, but we're going...
