Hi,
I'm not sure if this is an IIS or SSRS issue, but I suspect it's IIS;
I have a server called SQL-01 and this machine hosts a SQL server with SSRS. I have also edited the HOSTS file so that mydomain.com points back to the server (I have tried this on the server's IP address and with...
Hi, thanks for all your helps!
The way I got it to work was by removing the user's local Windows profile. When he logged on, a new one was created on his HD and all worked well.
Didn't think that'd have worked here, but it did so cool!
Thanks!
This is more of a client problem than something for the developers knowledge base, but I'm desperate.
We have users trying to access a page on the internet which is an asp document. When opened, IE offers to download it but not open it as it should.
What settings/premissions/account settings...
Hi,
I'm using VB.Net Standard edition, and when I click to Start a New Project, if I select 'ASP.Net Web Application' or anything like it, the devenv process just becomes unresponsive.
I'm sure that I have everything installed that I need. I put in my CDs and checked and it would seem that...
I think there's something wrong with the setup on our domain, but I don't know what it is.
Whenever anybody logs onto a local account, Windows 2000 Pro logs them out (after 'Loading User Settings' it instantly starts 'Saving User Settings').
I have checked for viruses and trawled our Group...
When I go to run the Disk Defrag from the Tools tab in a disk's properties, it tell me that the software isn't installed and I should find the Install/Uninstall tab in the Add/Remove Programs application.

We have Windows2000 machines on our domain and when we log onto the domain, there are no problems at all. However, we have now found that whenever we try and log onto the local computer, even as the local administrator, we are instantly logged off.
The messages that appear once we enter our...
We have two small machines which we want to cluster, simply for sharing printers.
The machines are two desktops running Win2K Adv Server. No SCSI drives, only IDE.
It refuses to install the Cluster service. Is this because Clustering needs SCSI?
Does anybody know how I can hide the Help Icon from the Start Menu? It's easy to do the Run, Find etc. but there doesn't seem to be any way of getting rid of the Help.
I have a Windows 2000 Professional workstation and Windows 98SE. Connecting via a Parallel is a pain. If I set the Laptop to listen, there seems to be no way for the Windows2000 workstation to get the correct username and password. If I set the workstation (Windows 2000) to listen, I get a...

Hi,<br><br>I can't log onto some workstations because NT says that the NetLogon service hasn't started. I've tried logging onto the local machine with and without the NW cable and still no joy.<br><br>Am I well and truly in a situation where I must rebuild the PC?

When I'm at a user's workstation (logged in as an administrator), and I need the User Manager for Domains, I just map to the PDC (or BDC) and run it from there (I think it's \\PDC\Winnt\System32\usrmgr.exe).
I used to own a Psion Series5 but decided I needed a change so, when it became terminally ill, I bought a WindowsCE machine. My Series5 ran at approximately 7Mhz and my new WindowsCE machine ran at 100Mhz but I tell you the truth, it was slower than my Psion! I kid you not, the organisation of...
I have a laptop running WindowsNT Workstation Version 4.0 and this laptop (as do many) has an Infrared port. Yet, I'm buggered if I can get it to work. I have downloaded what I believe to be the latest IR drivers and although I have two errors in my Event Log each boot, I'm told in the...
