I have a Windows 2000 Professional workstation and Windows 98SE. Connecting via a Parallel is a pain. If I set the Laptop to listen, there seems to be no way for the Windows2000 workstation to get the correct username and password. If I set the workstation (Windows 2000) to listen, I get a connection which lasts for a while and then shuts down. There is a message in the Event viewer that says;

"A certificate could not be found. Connections that use the L2TP protocol over IPSec require the installation of a machine certificate, also known as a computer certificate. No L2TP calls will be accepted."

Any advice?

Thanks guys!

I've found that if I install IPX/SPX on both machines, all works like a beautiful dream.

Thanks anyway.
