Please note, if you set a particular DC in the registry as Majestrate suggests, then that system will ONLY authenticate to that specified DC. Just a warning.... I've been doing a lot of reading about authentication and I remember that caveat.

If you just want to back up the data, you can use the Export function to create a backup file of the database...

As far as I know PartitionMagic and similar tools are the only way to do it. Another option which I didn't see discussed is to uninstall the offending app and reinstall it on another drive. Pretty much all apps can be installed on any drive (some require a particular drive, but that's rare)
