AT the same point try RIP 000 or RIP 0000, I'm sorry I haven't worked on these for sometime. But if I remeber correctly RIP 000 should work.
For switches 1000/1100 - same method
switches 3300/hub 24 etc - 3comcso RIP000
switc 9300/3900 - admin/lanplex

sys nv reset
if you do not know the console login try:
admin/lanplex
else boot via the network and then erase the psswd:

You will find that 3comcso/RIP000 works on:
1100
3300 s2/s3
ps hubs
on 1000/3000 uploading a s/w does not erase the psswd

Try to download the windows serial update utility from the 3com site.
You'll find it from the knowledgebase by asking questions about the 3300 - won't boot up (sorry don't have link to site for you).
Also download v2.69.
Install the utility program and load the s/w.
Hopefully you'll get...
To access the console set your terminal emulation program to:
9600,n,8,1
using either 3com/cisco/null modem connector to the console hit enter several times
You will see login prompt
enter:

3comcso
RIP000
should reset hub to default.
You will find the lanplex 2500 will only work with the 3c509b card not any other pcmcia version card - it has to be B.
Can you press l in the above mode and do list of all boot vectors - and go from there.
If you don't have the 'earthquake recovery' pcmcia or the 3c509b pcmcia card you can't do...
