Power /Self light is flashing Green

Power /Self light is flashing Green. First, the switch was flashing amber, then I tried to an upgrade. This switch is unresponsive and has never been configured. (right out of the box so to speak) I get no response in hyper terminal. It came Management Software Version 2.01. I can not install this on my XP Pro system though.

Hi,

It sounds like your upgrade was corrupted - you need to get another copy and then use the management software upgrade utility (available on the cdrom that came with the switch, or you can download off the internet) to upgrade the switch.
This is a dos based utility that requires you to connect the switch to the com port on your PC using a null modem cable - full instructions on the utilitys readme (or in the management guide that came with the switch)
