I understand that you have your own opinions, as do I, however that was not the purpose of my question. If I was asking for your opinion, I would have stated that in my original post.
Thanks.
We have a few former customers that have been harassing our employees, so we are going to block their email addresses. In case they are too stupid to realize that they are being blocked, we wanted to attach a message informing them that they are.
Is it possible to send an automatic message back to blocked emailers in exchange 2000? If so, how would I do it. I already applied the email addresses to be blocked in the IP filtering options, and enabled it under SMTP options.
Example:
Your email address has been blocked due to...
Ok,
I tried that and it asked me if I wanted to delete those files, and I said yes. Then DOS either tells me that it cannot find the file to delete, or it does it, however the file still remains in explorer. This is starting to really frustrate me.
Help!
Well, I tried Norton Commander and it did not work. Any other ideas? We are going to try to boot into safe mode next week, however I suspect that the same thing will happen.
Thanks.
We have an immediate concern on our main server. All of the sudden there have been several files, with nothing in them that have appeared out of thin air. I can't delete them. When I try to, it gives me an error telling me that "Cannot delete file. Cannot delete from the source file or...
Ok. So if I understand correctly, using your isp's dns address will only assist you in finding the internet in the event that the "in house" dns server fails. In that event, you will not be able to find host name to ip addresses in your network, but will only be able to see the outside...
I have a simple question. If I have a home network, with a windows 2000/2003 server and a workstation, could I use my ISP's DNS server as a secondary DNS server? Of course the primary dns address would be the DNS server's IP.
What about on a work network? Could the ISP's dns address be a...
Well, the setup that he (the backup guy) has here is a server 2000 machine (not promoted) which it's only function is to do a nightly backup of the applications drive from the main DC. I guess from there, he is VPN-ing in to back that up. Now, we had a power outage last week and the backup pc...
I agree. The point of my trying to find out if they are doing it is so that I can present that to management, so we can move on. Is it possible to see if it is happening?
We have a company that is supposed to be dialing into our network via VPN and backing up our data remotely. How can I tell if they are doing it properly, or at all through looking at our server? The reason I ask is because they are not answering our phone calls.
Thanks a lot.
I sort of understand what you are referring to, however could you give me a simple step by step on how to do this? I know how to add permissions, and user groups to a user, however I am unsure as to what you mean regarding how to add a domain user to a local account.
Thanks
I realize that is the case locally on their workstation, however I don't believe that is the case when they log onto the domain. Don't the domain policies/permissions override the local policies when logged in? I don't believe the local and domain SID's sync, do they? I would like to prevent...
We have a user who need the right to install applications on his own machine, while he is logged into the domain. What group do I add him to to allow him to do this?
Today when I came to work, all of the companies calander entries in outlook 2003 were gone for all users, for the last month or so. I had just installed Norton Antivirus Server last week and did a virus scan. I did some research and found that there are conflicts with NAV and exchange files...
