Hello All,
I have a Windows Server 2003 machine that has a tape storage drive installed. The problem is, with Backup Exec it frequently shows as "Offline." After further inspection, I have noticed that the device "Tape Drives" does not show up in Device Manager. Only after I scan for...
No otherdomain is not my domain name. I don't understand. Why do I need an inbound connector to SEND a test email out? I used a valid username for the sending account. Shouldn't the server send out an email to any email address as long as the username that's sending can be validated and the...
Yes, this event is happening on the exchange server. We have 1 exchange server. We have two receive connectors. One is for port 25 and the other for port 587. Port 25 is open to anonymous access, while the other is not.
As far as telnetting, I get caught here:
RCPT TO:user@otherdomain.com...
I have noticed that I am consistently receiving this event in my event logs and haven't been able to shed any light on it after googling it for a bit. As far as I know, there aren't any symptoms that I can see from this message, but I'd like to make sure this is the case. Here is the message...
Hello,
Some of my clients are receiving an undeliverable when trying to send out an email. It only happens rarely, but enough to want to investigate it. The body of the undeliverable looks like this:

Your message did not reach some or all...
I am in the process of setting up BCM on an Exchange Server (2007) and want to share this information for users who will access it remotely. Can I just install Outlook 2007 with BCM on the Exchange Server and create a VPN connection to that Exchange Server to connect to the DB? The server is...
I have an exchange server that is currently set up to receive mail for usa.domain.com. So users naturally use the SMTP address user@usa.domain.com. I set up the A record autodiscover.usa.domain.com and it works well for the users as far as picking up the correct XML information for OOF and...
Hello All,
I'm having a weird issue at the moment. I have created an account for a couple test users for my Exchange Server and when I log in to their Outlook 2007 accounts, I get the Certificate Error message saying that the site name does not match with the certificate. This is fine...
Called Microsoft PSS. Solution was easy. Go to IIS, Right-Click "default website", go to "directory security", click on the edit button at the bottom, change the radio button to "ignore certificates", apply this change and make sure to select all the subfolders so those changes inherit to them...
I have noticed one thing. When I change the RPC folder in IIS to "ignore certificate" after a few hours it gets set back to "accept certificate" and I'm unable to connect to the Exchange server via OA. When I change it back, it starts working again. Any idea why it's doing this?
Sorry to post so much, but I think it's because i don't have an A record for autodiscover. This is absolutely necessary right? I was under the impression that I didn't need to because outlook will search for https://mail.shovel.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml and find the information from...
Hello Dave, I got the RPC test to yield successful results! I went to the RPC folder in IIS and changed the security settings to ignore certificates. Not sure why it works now, but it was set up as accept certificates before. I saw a screenshot of another user with setting to ignore...
Actually, I had it working with the SLD before, I must have accidentally changed something and it stopped working.
OA does work on the LAN. I do have the Fast and Slow connection settings checked.
As for my registry settings, it's as follows.
Enabled value is set to 1.
Validports Value is...
