I have created a database and placed it on our network server. Everyone's machine has been joined to the wkgrp file on the server and can get in with the correct password. Now any other databases they try to access is asking for a login. What do I need to do to correct this.
Thanks
Thanks for the response. I'm not opening exclusively and the database has not been distributed yet so there would be no one else in it.
What else should I check?
Thanks
I have created a database of our financial reports - It's running beautifully. I got the user level security in place and works on my and the user's machine. Problem is I noticed I needed to change something on one of the reports (accessing from Switchboard). It is now telling me that I do...
Thanks but that didn't work either. I tried doing a column - autofit, also. It's basically cutting it off at the 255 limit. I tried to go in and reset the column width to above 255 and it gave me a message that the number had to be under 255. I'm using Excel 2000, do you know if this is the...
I have a file that I have to export from Excel as a .prn file, then change it to a .dat file to upload into our accounting system. The problem is that I bring up the .dat in wordpad to check things and it is truncating my rows and putting the truncated areas at the bottom of the file. Right...
I'm not sure if this can be done but thought I would throw it out for you guru's to help with.
I have several drill thru reports running off of my main report. The filter in my main report is FY = ?, Pd = ? and Sub pd = ?.
My second report has to be year to date so the Pd has to be Pd <= ...
I need some help on a preprocessor file. I have an airfare file that needs to go into the AP Preprocessor. I have successfully taken care of the export problem with one hitch. When I bring it up in wordpad to check it, it truncates the line and puts the last 20 or 30 characters at the bottom...
I have a .prn file that I'm using as an import file for a preprocessor. There seems to be some sort of line size issue. It gets to the last column and puts part of it under the main text as if it cuts it off. Has anyone encountered this and a solution?
Zathras and Bluedragon2
Zathras, I did try it, I just tried it again and it seemed to work this time. I just have to test the upload into the preprocessor now. Must have typed something wrong the 1st time. (It was a fat finger day)
Thanks a bunch both of you.
Zathras - thanks but that didn't work because it has to be read as a number. Plus when it's a negative it comes out to 16 characters and it has to be 15.
this may make more sense to you.
This is the formula I have
=REPT(0,15-LEN(FIXED('Usable Tables'!E4,2,TRUE)))& FIXED('Usable...
Zathras - thank you
I need it to be -00000000000.00
I'm assuming though that if I have to have the -, it also has to count as a character.
Any help will be appreciated
I'm saving a file as a space delimited (.prn) for a preprocessor. I have used the rept function to left fill my numbers to 15 characters. Only problem is if the number is a negative, it looks like this
000000000-42.00
Any suggestions?
Thanks
I have a sheet that I want to output to a .prn file and the rows are 270 characters long. It takes the last 30 characters and appends them to the end of the file. I've tried to turn word wrap off on both Notepad and Wordpad and it still doesn't work. This is a file that is for a preprocessor...
I'm trying to merge a file for a preprocessor and I'm having trouble getting 2 functions in one field. I have one function that concantenates 2 fields together, then I want to do a left function of this concantenation so it cuts it off at 30 characters. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
