Auto_close without saving (again) and prevent recalc

Glenn, Right now, a folder and subfolders. Later on, I'll probably be doing the same, and some specific folder. I'll never be searching the entire server/share. I appreciate your response. Have a good weekend. Jeff

Auto_close without saving (again) and prevent recalc

I'm doing a search for *.xl* files on a network server, highlighting all the files, right click and select print. It then prints to my default printer but asks to save the files. I don't do this from a VBA routine because I'm not very good at VBA (obviously, eh?) Jeff

I've read through the threads and tried all the suggestions that I've found but nothing seems to be working for me. I'm using Excel 2002 SP3 and here's the issues. From Explorer, I need to batch print about a gazillion Excel spreadsheets. 1) When it's time to close the spreadsheets, it always...

XP Pro - New User - Screen Saver Security

We're running XP Pro on our network. I would like to create a desktop configuration that would force the "on resume, password protection" in the screen saver to be checked when a new user account is created on that workstation. Any user can logon to any computer and their configuration is...

    connecting USB Devices - Help

The device is not disabled....just no drivers for it are found. No firewall. Tried it both ways and still get the same issue. I tried this on an XP machine and it worked perfectly. I'm not sure if it's a general problem with 98, or if this 98 install could be screwed up. I was thinking that...

    connecting USB Devices - Help

I'm trying to help out some friends of mine who are running Windows98 Second Edition on a Dell laptop. They're having a problem with Windows finding the drivers for any USB device that we've tried (printer, cable modem, 2wire household gateway). When you attach the device, Windows detects...

Binding of File and Printer sharing to NetBEUI and NOT IP

Actually, I found the answer. Under network connections, highlight the ethernet board, pull down the advanced menu, advanced settings. all the bindings are there. Under 98, you have to go to TCP/IP for the ethernet board and remove the bindings. It all seems to work well...on both of my XP...

Binding of File and Printer sharing to NetBEUI and NOT IP

I have 3 computers on a LAN connected to a router/bridge to my ISP. I have been running IP and sharing files within my LAN. I was recently advised that it is much safer to run NetBEUI for my LAN and maintain IP for internet access (netbeui is available on the XP CD). To do this, I was told to...

    Stop Windows Logon

I would like to know how to stop windows98 from putting up the windows logon panel and requiring me to hit enter before it will continue to boot. I am using a home network, but my other 98 computer doesn't put up the panel and all the settings look the same to me. Both computers work on my...

    IE6 hangs during Save As

I'm using IE 6 on XP home. When I try to save a web page using SAVE AS, then change directories, the "save as" window will go white and completely hang IE. I have to kill it using task manager. Has anyone else seen this? Has anyone solved the problem? Thanks.
