I would like to know how to stop windows98 from putting up the windows logon panel and requiring me to hit enter before it will continue to boot.

I am using a home network, but my other 98 computer doesn't put up the panel and all the settings look the same to me. Both computers work on my home network. I'd like to be able to start the computer, walk away and have it finish booting when I come back....it's a really slow system.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks

Personally I'd download tweakui (its actually on the win98 install disk too) and use the auto logon feature (if you're on a network you need to logon to access the network) - under the logon tab. Then windows will just enter user & password automatically for you.

Control Panel, Network, change primary logon to 'Windows Logon'

Thanks All. I think I've got it, now.

I also downloaded the TweakUI and it's got some cool tools.

I appreciate all the help.
