All that was deleted was a connection. All the reports that were set up to use the universe while it was on that connection are broken. We tested this yesterday and saw the same behavior.

I have some published documents that point to a connection that has been deleted. Everything I have done to try to change the connection has failed, because it cannot connect to the db to even choose a new data provider. Is there a way to do this?

I am using Webi. I used her login from my machine and got the same error. The universe is inherited from the group, so all users should have the same results right?

I have a user in a group that tries to create a report and keeps getting an "Invalid Column Name" error. Other users in the same group are not getting this error and she is set up exactly the same. Any ideas? Thanks, Ken

We are using a vendor that will not allow us to add a table. All we are allowed to do is use a view. We have to go in for each group and for each table in each universe and add a restriction.

Does anyone have any idea of something that makes setting up the row level security any easier? I am doing a lot of redundant work. The same where clause on every table in the universe. Has anyone interfaced with the SDK to do anything like what I am wanting to do? Any input will be helpful...

Some more details on the issue: We received our updated universes from the third-party source that designed them. Their connection for the database has a different name than our connection, so we have to open the universe in Designer, then edit the parameters to change the data source from...

When I export a new universe with the same name as an old universe, any old reports will not run against that universe. Is there a way around this?
