I have some published documents that point to a connection that has been deleted. Everything I have done to try to change the connection has failed, because it cannot connect to the db to even choose a new data provider. Is there a way to do this?

This is not what has happened. Reports don't point to connections. Reports point to universes. If you have deleted the universe, you are screwed. You need to restore your repository from a backup.

All that was deleted was a connection. All the reports that were set up to use the universe while it was on that connection are broken. We tested this yesterday and saw the same behavior.

Then you simply need to open Designer and point the universe to a connection. Re-Export the universe and you should be good to go.

If your reports are built from Free-Hand SQL, you may be out of luck.
