USB conflict...I've heard of this hapening sometimes with USB devices. I would try to use a USB hub. It has worked for me when a USB device (printer) gives me errors...all I did was plug them into a USB hub and the problem was history.
Just a suggestion.

Sometimes you get a dud.....it happens..don't blame the...
Hmmm...I am almost stumped now.....as I said I have the same mobo and had a similar problem. If I find any more info I will post it here for you. If it were my system ; I would probably reformat....but that may seem a bit drastic in your situation.

Glad to hear we are getting there :)
What this tells me is that the drivers seem to be OK now. I would now see if there are any red or yellow flags in your device manager. If there is this could be a case of driver conflicts or even possibly IRQ and or DMA conflicts.
Check your flags before we...
Actually I am wrong it is a desktop system....sorry. OK then it sounds like windows replaced the drivers when you restared....so I would be popping in your setup cd and reinstall the sound software that came with your system originally. Even though the drivers sound like they were reinstalled by...
I take it that this is a laptop and not a desktop system....am I correct?

Yeah send me the report if you wish...I may have an idea of what the problem is. It is possible that the modem is sharing some fo the same software(driver)components as the sound card. If you are able to find out if the sound card is on board or a PCI card that would be helpful as well...
Is this sound card on board or is it a PCI card? I use an onboard sound with the same chipset as yours.

Cannon printers use replacable print head which is replaced each time you change to a new cartridge. You may need to replace the print cartridge(s). If you have not used the printer in a while the print head may have become clogged. To fix this, remove each cartridge and lightly clean the print...
OK I just looked at the specs for your speaker system and they are powered and they do accept S/PDIF fiber optic cable as does your S/PDIF output on your board. All you need to do is simply attach the optic cable from the board (Card) to the S/PDIF input on the speaker (probably the sub...
No I mean the HDD platters are not even turning. The drive can actually get pretty hot when this happens (seizing). The graphic you posted says alot and my best guess is that the drive is history...all you can do is try to recover what you can...thus I will stick to my original suggestion. The...
Thank you for the elaboration I believe I have the full picture now. Give this a try:

Is this system able to access other files on the network? if not I would make reconfigure the system in question to recognize the IP address of the printer...which brings me o my next question...is this a network printer (connected directly to the hub or is it a shared printer (attached to...
Is the drive seizing up? If it is try this.....
- remove drive from case
- place drive into a glad FREEZER bag
- with a straw suck out all the air you can and seal the bag
- place bag with HD in you fridges freezer for 1 hour
- quickly remove the drive from the freezer bag and return it to your...
Very nice board first of all!!! :)
I would find it hard to believe that there is no optical out on that card...hmmm. What ports are on that card (RCA, mini plugs(1/8"), optical etc).
What model of ONKYO speakers are you using? If they ar not powered then you need to connect from your...
