In use licenses, who is using them?

Is there a way to tell who or what device is using a license at any given time? I currently have 8 connected users but have 12 licenses in use according to license management console. Thanks Peter Hotchkiss

    License troubleshooting

I have 2 servers in a farm. One of the servers is setup as the License server. The problem is that it appears the licenses are not being released back to the pool of available licenses when a user logs off. I have been trying to use the Administrative commands that are explained in the...

    Concurrent License usage not accurate

We are running a 2 server MPS 4.0 farm. I currently have 13 users connected and 30 licenses installed. However Citrix shows all 30 licenses being used and is not allowing any new connections. If I stop and start the Licensing service the usage goes down to 0 and then climbs back to 30. How...

    Client disconnections

Thanks. We tried 2 scenarios with screen savers. We had it set for a password protected screen saver originally. Some users we turned off the screen saver totally and few other we turned off the password protection only. Turning it off completely it seems was the answer. We had also made...

    Client disconnections

Three computers in the remote office, XP I believe. (I don't manage the pc's) DSL connection. I beleive they are only disconnected from Citrix, they did not have this problem with our old Citrix 1.8 server and older clients.

    local profile vs domain profile

You pointed me in the right direction. I was able to stop the Domian profile from being used by enabling: Computer\Admin Settings\System\User Profiles\Only Allow local Profiles. Thanks Pete

    Adding modems in 4.0

Ok I found my answer. From the Client Configuration Guide. "Note Remote users can connect to servers running Windows Server 2003 over TCP/IP only. Terminal Services in Windows Server 2003 does not support remoteconnections over IPX/SPX, NetBIOS, and asynchronous transports." Can anyone share...

    Adding modems in 4.0

I'm setting up a new install of 4.0. I already have Presentation Server installed and can connect to it using ICA or RDP. I have just installed a new 4 port RocketPort III. The card and modems all appear in Device manager as installed and working. When I try to add a connection in Connection...

    local profile vs domain profile

Some of the things we do with our mandatory or default profile I don't think can be done with GP. We turn on the Quick Launch bar and add icons to it, turn off Desktop cleanup wizard etc. Maybe we need to consider roaming profiles? Thanks for you response. Pete

    local profile vs domain profile

We have a 2003 AD domain and use a mandatory profile for creating new profiles for users (not roaming profiles) this works well for our purposes on destops (XP). However I am now setting up a new Citrix/TS server and need to block the domain profile because file paths are not the same as on the...
