Actually, I had split the DB using the Database Splitter and simply sent the front-end along. I will try the Package & Deployment Wizard out and see if this takes care of the issue.

Have you tried updating to MDAC 2.6? MSVCRT.DLL is part of the "Microsoft Data Access Components" and some installed packages overwrite it with their particular take on it. Try downloading and installing MDAC 2.6 from MS's developer's net and see if that fixes the problem.

This may seem elementary, but have you verified that the problem is not specific to the PC in question (i.e., pulled another machine over there and verified that it logs in proerly)? Perhaps the problem is endemic to the box. But, perhaps there is an issue with a patch cable, etc...
