Slow Login for one user

Hello,

by login, one user is experiencing a very slow login.
It is taking about 5 minutes for the icons on the desktop to appear. I was thinking it may be the users NT profile.

We have a Novell 5 server
Win NT 4.0 Workstations
ZEN Works 2.0

Any info would be appreciated

Chris,

This may seem elementary, but have you verified that the problem is not specific to the PC in question (i.e., pulled another machine over there and verified that it logs in proerly)? Perhaps the problem is endemic to the box. But, perhaps there is an issue with a patch cable, etc.

This problem happens on all machines this user logs onto
if I log on as a different user it works fine.

Sounds like either the profile needs deleting and another on creating, or the profile is very big.
