Following through what James said to the letter has enabled me to resolve this problem, but these tips are useful also. Thank you very much for both of your help
I am submitting the jobs on the actual server, I have tried using the local administrator account, a domain administrative account, and ARCserve is patched completely.
I haven't tried using the NT 4 domain account, because as I said, I am using Windows 2000. No permissions have been changed.
I have a Windows 2000 Advanced Server, patched and working fine, with a copy of ARCserve 2000 installed, again patched and licensed. However, when I try to submit jobs (as Administrator), then I get the following error message:
There are not enough rights for user administrator on server (then...
Hi
When you start using Windows 2000 you'll find DNS at every corner. DNS is completely integrated with Windows 2000 so it's best to get used to it and maybe purchase a book or two from amazon.com. In fact, if you check Active Directory Users and Computers you'll see that your domain is listed...

Whenever I do any kind of backup on ARCserve 2000 (backing up fully patched Windows 2000 Advanced Servers) the backup finishes, but reports as being 'incomplete'. However, everything appears to have been backed up. ARCserve is patched to the latest ver.
Is this because I do not have the agent...

I've got a bog standard NT4 Server with a small registry, but that is holding lots of frequently accessed data. Ghost images, archives etc. amounting to around 70GB. The NIC is 100MB, it's patched to a dedicated 100MB port on a switch etc and is running at full duplex. However, access to the...
