Starting program at login only when at the office

They log in with cached credentials and the cmd-files set in the group policy are run. The ip-address solution sounds very good, how can I set that up? Thanks. /Marcus

Starting program at login only when at the office

Hello all, I'm looking for a way to launch a program (a simple cmd-file) on login, but only when the user logs in when at the office and has access to the servers there and not when our outdoor sales people are at a customer, any thoughts on how to do that? Thanks. /Marcus

Problems connecting to wireless after AD move

I've done some more testing and come up with the below results: A new pc straight from Dell connects fine to the wireless, but when I add it to the domain and the computer policy is applied it does no longer recieve an ip-address through wireless (it recieves an ip-address from the regular...

Problems connecting to wireless after AD move

No, no Radius, just the basic set up in the Windows client where you enter a key to connect and then you are online. Now (that is after the clients moved to AD) no ip-adress is handed out by the wireless (the same problem with all the access points tested). /Marcus

    DNS and domain names

This is probably a very simple question but as I've not worked with the DNS in Windows before I'm a bit lost. How can I add a web domain name (subdomain.domain.com) to the DNS? I need this as the computers on our network need to use an internal ip-address to the servers in question and not the...

    Non-standard workstations

Thanks itsp1965. We have the users My Documents and Desktops redirected to a server and we don't want those to be downloaded onto these machines when the users login, can that be avoided while still implementing the other policies? /Marcus

    Relogin?

If a user logs into his computer without access to the domain controllers and then connects his computer to the network, does he have to log out and then back in again to get access to shared folders and printers or is it possible to login to the domain without first logging out of Windows...

    Non-standard workstations

We're in the process of moving to AD and the move of the regular users are going according to plan, however I'm not sure how to handle the non-standard computers: We have a number of computers with extra equipment (scanners, DVD-buners etc) that everyone on the company can use, there is no login...

User log in/out times on domain

You can set up an audit on this, that way both login and logoff will be logged in the event log on the server. /Marcus

    Arcserve and new ip-address

We've just changed all the ip-addresses in our network and now our Arcserve gives the error "Failed to login to database.(EC=-2005)" when it tries to run the daily backup job. Is there anything in Arcserve that needs to be changed to reflect the fact that the server has a new ip-address...

    Changing ip-addresses

Hi all, We will be changing the ip-adresses in our network soon and this of course means changes for our Netware servers too, including the one running the DNS and DHCP. Which is the easiest way to make those changes? Thanks. /Marcus
