Actually you can open the project file (pjx) with the USE statement. Sometimes you can modify the physical path on the object right in that file in the NAME field. This is obviously tricky and should be approached with much care as you can corrupt your project file if you are not careful.
Hello all,
Could you please elaborate on "not always unlocks them" from the above post? Is there something I can do do assure that the unlock happens?
We are all of a sudden having a problem with extensive record locking messages in a legacy 2.6a FOXPRO application that has been successfully...
Thank you both for your responses.
I changed the FOR to a KEY and it works great.
Still wondering about the "Not Responding" message.
Is Foxpro locked up at that point?
Our application freezes on a browse command with a for condition. The task manager shows Foxpro Not Responding. What does not responding mean?
This file is growing all the time, it is over 2.2 mil records and only 168,000 kb in size. This has just started happening. So I don't see it as a...
Yes, I tried that one too. It worked from the command window and not from the executable.
OK. That was too wierd. Don't like wierd, when working against a time line.
I used a different logo, just by chance, extremely smaller. Worked OK and tiled OK. I think this may have something to do...
I have a fill file clause on my modi window screen command, to throw up a copmpany logo back splash. When I run the prgs from the command window it works OK, but when I compile it and run the exe, it does now show up.
Any ideas on what is happening would be helpful. Thank you in advance.
I built a temp cursor with a select statement.
Then immediately copy to a text file on the next line.
My cursor temp.field looses it's value. Has the value after the select, but not after the copy.
I simply moved my copy to a different place, but what is this about?
This sounds like code page issue. Possibly a compatibility issue between foxpro and VFP using the same DBF.
Check out the code page settings in FoxPro. Once you open a file with VFP you cannot open it again in FoxPro. Unless you establish the code page as one that both environments can share.
We have a foxpro 2.6a application that relys completely on the OS (win 2000) printer drivers for printing options. We set the default printer with the printer options and compile that into the frx. You can see the queue name in the Tag and Tag2 fields if you open the frx with a USE *.FRX...
