When I invoke the CDR client on my desktop to connect to our BCM 3.7 via IP address or DNS name as listed in the manual I get and error:
Unable to establish event connection: The RPC server is unavaliable.
I want to get live data from the PBX as calls are made and recived. Any ideas?
You are on the right path for the CCR out bound. You need to build a route that the number can use and enter the number as a standard dial.
In the VM web interface in the CCR that you are building the tree option is set to transfer.

after reading the post two thoughts come to mind.
1. Can you ping the BCM?
2. if so try using telnet to access the BCM.
c:\telnet <bcm ip>
long in with the admin account <ee_admin> and cange the ip addressing there.
