I'm using Outlook 2k with Exchange 5.5 SP4 loaded on a WinNT 4.0 SP2a. We have no trouble at all receiving email from anyone. Just sending email to other domains. I can send to my hotmail and yahoo email accounts and the email looks fine there. I have my character sets MIME:Western European...
When I send email to certain users of user@abc.domain, they can only see my email "code". They describe it as garbady-gook. The email is there, you have to scroll down to see it in "code" format which is very unattractive. Any help on this issue is appreciated.
I'm running Exchange Server 5.5 SP4 on Windows NT 4 Server SP 6a. My problem is when my users send email to an "outside" domain our messages are unreadable. The message is replaced with random letters lower and Caps. Reading into the email it gives this one clue, "This message is in MIME format...
I can choose my printer from the list of printers available but when I print it gives me the following error "There was an error found when printing the document "Report...." to TSxxx. Thing is when I looked in the print properties of the Win2k server I see several TSxxx ports and...
When I try to print I get this error message, "There was an error found when printing the document "Report..." to TS034. Do you want to retry or cancel the job? What's happening to me? The server is Win2k Server the client is Win2k professional SP3. Any ideas?
From your experience which processor on a budget is better for an upgrade, Celeron or Pentium 4. Think from a manager perspective, everyone wants the "biggest and baddest". I just visited Intel's web site and the marketing team is #1 bar none. Is it me or does it seem like Celeron is...
I did that, now I have more spam mail in my out directory. Just not as much as before. But, I did not move the queue.dat file out. Seems like email is getting stuck in the out directory only. The in directory is clear. I'll follow your instructions step-by-step and tell you the results.
I'm running Exchange 5.5 SP4 on WinNT Server 4.0 SP6a. When I start IMC it "hangs" on the starting IMC service. It never comes back with an error message. It(msexcimc.exe) spikes the CPU process to 100% and I can't receive/send email externally. I have to bring up task manager and...
For some reason my Exchange Server cannot send/receive email. Nothing that I've seen is obvious, like a services stopping. If you can point me down the right path, I'll greatly appreciate it.
First, pc#2 can print locally.
Second, I'm using the same printer/print driver for both pc's.
So, I'm asking TS to use the same print driver for both PC's because both of them have the same printer.
Any suggestions?
I'm running win98 on an IBM box P3 450Mhz, 256MB RAM 8GB HD. I'm running a database program that seems to sap a good bit of resources while running. Example; normal desktop, no programs open, virus protection is disabled, the resource meter shows: System resources-87%, User resources-87%, and...
I just completed my task. Guess what, it works! I can't believe it, it actually works!
Now I have a minor issue with TSC. I have two workstations that need to print "locally" from TSC. One (#1)workstation prints fine. The other (#2)workstation prints to the first (#1)workstation's...
Thanks tahoe2 and lander215 for the advice. I'm going with tahoe2's advice about the TS. My local printer is a Lexmark Optra E310 Laser Printer. I just want TS to print to my local printer like the "papers" say it should. Thing is, this TS is across town. I have to install the print...
You keep refering to "NT" Terminal Service. I'm referring to Windows 2000 Terminal Service with Win2k clients. The message win2k provides local printer redirection by default....man I haven't seen that yet.
How do I install the print driver on the Win2k Server?
I'm running Win2K Pro and Terminal Service Client. My issue is I can't print to my local printer. I should be able to do this but, for some reason I can't. When I TS into the server across town I can access and accomplish my task, but when I want to print, my only option is the printer that's...
First of all, thank you VERY much for your help. My IMS is working now and I feel great! I stopped all of the exchanges services, replaced msexcimc.exe with one from the SP4 folder (verified I kept the same version) and I ran the Exch SP4 again. Restarted the server and it's ran like champ all...
I use DNS. If I uninstall/reinstall the IMS from the CD I'd have to run the SP4 Patch again, right. I'd also have to config IMS again. I'm ready to do this if it will get me back online with the rest of the world.
I tried what you said. There was nothing but an archive folder in the IMCDATA/IN directory and I cleared it out. I moved the queue.dat out. Now instead of using 97-99% Cpu processes it uses anywhere between 60-40% Cpu processes. It still "hangs". I doesn't seem to complete the process...
