I run Outlook 2002, and I try to invite people to meetings.
When I send an appoinment, it comes through as text when I don't send it as iCal format.
When I send it as iCal format I get the appointment but with a whole bunch of field id information.
either way I (and the people I invite) don't...
I tried everything - there is another thread further in asking the same question. A helpful person respended with a select of ISP help options - none worked.
I ended up reinstalling the OS under instruction. and now all is well (at least with respect to dial up.
I am running Win XP Pro. When I upgraded the Novell client from the beta release for XP, my diaup seems to have fallen over. The result is that now I get an error 720. I have tried numerous fixes as suggested by my ISP, however they don't seem to have come up with any fixes.
Until the upgrade...
havbing installed the Beta Client, I now have problems with TCP/Ip on dialup. I get an error that no PPP connectection can be made. This only happened once the client was installed.
Any ideas?
The client seems to work fine - not too slow when browsing the network. However it does seem to drop off the network regularly. I don't have a pattern yet.
There is a beta client for NW released on 25/10. I haven't tried it yet (downloading now).
There is a link to it on another Tek-Tips question (on XP - Netware 4 client).
Do not use Partition Magic 4 with NTFS partitions - It claims to work, but when there are FAT32 and NTFS partitions on the same drive it fails - sometimes.
To stop notification, you need to turn off notification (notify) in the dafault capture tab under Novell Client Propertes.
Also if it is running under Win2k (not sure about other OS), you need to check that 'notify' properties printing preferences (Netware settings tab).
Hope this helps.
Happily got Client 4.8 to install under XP (adding client rather than using the install package) - however it is really lame. The speed issues are unacceptable - login issues, it seems to stumble on the login script.
When the client is uninstalled and CSNW is used, the speed issues go away...
