If you delete files on the H: drive(From the Win2k machine) that is mapped to the Win95 machine, they will be gone for good. Same thing works both ways.

Update:
Left click your desktop one time, then hit F1 on your keyboard. In the help search in the upper right, put in network wizard. On the left after it searches, choose Start the Network Setup Wizard. Just run through and set it up. Very easy.

Get Proxy. I assume you want to share your internet connection. Also try going into the Network Connections menu(via control panel or start menu) and click Create a New Connection. You should choose advanced(this is from memory) and then...

Try that one too. Just good information if anything else.

I've had this call, it should work for Win2k and WinXP.
Here it is in a nutshell:
Method 1
Establish a persistent connection using NET.EXE. To do so, use the following syntax at a command prompt:
net use lptx...
Do you have Autoplay/Auto Insert Notification turned off?
That could cause it not to refresh.
Just in case, those are the functions that recognize and play CDs automatically when they are inserted.
Double-click My Computer, right click the drive in question and hit Properties. You'll see the...
Jesus christ, I've seen worse problems get less posts than this. Good luck to you guys. I think I read somewhere back there that you did a repair, right? If not(and just in case you or others don't know how) just boot to the CD, once it loads all the files, hit Enter, on the License screen hit...
Hi there,
I have a question regarding Office XP/Outlook. Basically, I want to know how to sync file folders and e-mail between a laptop and a desktop on the network. I feel pretty sure I'll have to get some third party software(or at least right a .bat or something :) to get it to work, but any...
It's probably either memory or PSU. 963852 - A PCI Simple Comms(communications) controller is most undoubtedly a modem. James P. Grant III

Yeah, ya don't wann daisy chain stuff like that, especially parallel. There just isn't enough bandwidth for reliability.
Not too mention it probably freaks the hell outta Windows anyways. James P. Grant III

Well, try this, it's a long shot, and it didn't involve MP3's, but here goes. I work for a/the large(st) PC company, and get strange calls every now and again. One involved a high-end workstation that had a problem that existed across HDD replacement, motherboard replacment, CPU replacement, RAM...
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's hardware related. Given my experiences doin tech support, it's probably a weak PSU(Power Supply) Just swap it w/another equal or higher output PSU and see if the problem is resolved. If not, leave in the temp. PSU and move on to RAM, then CPU, etc.
I'm sure you'll find...
I thought MP3 was audio. Try to repair IE through Add/Remove Programs. Just double-click Internet Explorer x.x and Internet Tools and choose the repair option. Usually works when IE is goofed. James P. Grant III

Sounds like a fun situation there. If you can get back into the Recovery Console, try HELP, I believe it should list some commands. Also try this site: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q307654
It has a comprehensive list of the commands supported in the Recovery Console...
Not likely at all if he deleted everything, cleared temp files, and the cache, etc. At most, you could get some low-level software to analyze the HDD directly to find what files have been "deleted" by Windows. But it's EXTREMELY unlikely this will work given the fact of, You have no...
This is probably irrelevant by now, but you can make a batch file:
@echo off
*Path\To\Command\*keylcmd
exit
Where *path\to\command\* = c:\Winnt\KeyLog\keylcmd, or whatever the path is. That's all there is to it.

1) Is it the same site over and over? Or is it ANYTHING you download EVER?
2) Use Winrar, avaiable at http://rarlabs.com/, for all your file compression needs, there's almost no compression algorythym it can't handle(ew, double-negative). It also supports a repair function, so long as the...
heh I know, it has me baffled too, but it works. :)
Not too sure on the exact mechanics, but if you check that first link; solutions.brothers.com, it will explain how you can setup a printer over the internet OR an intranet to use on Win9x machines. You simply install IIS on Win2k, IPS on Win9x...
