Question about UDP overlaping w/local dialplan on G3V6

Thanks for the example Toni. I have tried to be more specific, for example “change UDP 30” “change UDP 300” “Change UDP 3000” but the system just wont let me add a UDP code in the same range as local extensions. I can do “change UDP 4”. On the dialplan table 4 is set to “Misc”. I don’t get...

Question about UDP overlaping w/local dialplan on G3V6

Extensions 3xxx are local and extensions 4xxx are on a remote PBX (AAR/UDP is configured) Some of the local users have moved to the remote site and would like to keep their extensions, however I can not “change UDP 3”. I get an error message that says: “inconsistent with dialplan”. My dial...

Question about VM transfers and broadcasts from Intuity to Unity

Can anyone tell me if this is possible: I have a S8700 w/Intuity Audix and a Cisco Call Manger w/Unity in the same building. I am planning on setting up AMIS between the two systems for message transfers. Assuming AMIS is working, is there a way to use the broadcast feature in Intuity to send...

Need help turning on Qos on the LAN using Cisco switches.

Setup: Avaya call manager 2.0 w/4620 phones on Cisco 3560 switch I would like to turn on QoS and Vlan’s on my switches for voice traffic. Currently not using either. I know the Avaya switch is sending a diff-srve value and an 802.1p value, but not sure how to configure the switch to see these...

How to use route filters to block area codes?

I am trying to understand how route filters work on CCM 4.1. I am currently using 9.@ as my only route pattern. I want to use a route filter to block 900,976,809 etc, If I understand the Cisco documentation correctly, creating a route filter that says “area code = = 900”, then associating it...

How to setup MGCP with route patterns

Thanks pndscm. That’s what I was afraid of. Not looking to do toll-bypass, just routing calls out their own gateway. Since I want to get very granular with blocking specific area codes I won’t be able to just do “9@” for each site. I will need to create many route patterns for each site which...

How to setup MGCP with route patterns

Hi. I am new to CCM and have a few questions. I have a CCM 4.1 with 10 remote sites connected via 2800’s. Each remote site has a small number of handsets that register with the remote CCM. I want to use the existing POTS lines on the 2800 and have the phones call out their respective sites...

    IP Office vs. S8300 w/G700 or G350

Why would someone choose one over the other? They are both IP capable and designed for small to medium sized business, and both made by Avaya. Is there a significant price difference or a significant difference in reliability? Just curious as I am not familiar with IPO. Thanks.

    Programming overlay

I was trying to find one because the receptionist will need to start changing the labeling for extensions. I was just trying to make it really easy for her because she gets confused easily. TTT, I like your suggestion. I already have the desi strip in an excel format for 44xx phones. I guess...

Programming options don't work - Partner Mail VS R4

Hi there. I have a Partner mail VS R4. Here is the problem: When I go into the voicemail programming, then go to extension programming, then enter an extension number and chose option 5 to administer outcalling for that mailbox, I get a message that says “invalid entry”. Also, when the users...

    PPP modem problem

I can establish a analog PPP connection to my S8700 thru the “remote” login, and also open ASA and login, however the connection always drops after exactly 60 seconds, regardless of whether or not I have opened ASA yet. Anyone else have this problem?

    Duplicate Station Command Problem

Your switch may not know what extensions ranges to search in. Make sure your uniform dial plan has your local extension ranges entered as “ext” as the type.

    G350 Firmware upgrade

Has anyone upgraded their G350 firmware? I have been reading thru the upgrade documents and noticed that there are several different ways to upgrade the firmware, i.e.: Software Update Manager, Gateway Installation Wizard, Installation Wizard, Command Line Interface. What the easiest method...

How do you change ARS Table 28?

Hi. I have a Merlin Magix 2.0. I’m trying to modify the ARS tables for 411 calls. I printed a report and I see that 411 is in table 28. How do you strip digits and/or change the pool for table 28? When I go to “Tables -> ARS-> SubA Absorb” it only lets me change tables 1-26. I went to “Tables...

    911 problem

I tried increasing the FRL in the N11 table but the system still let the call go through. Either I didn't do it right or the system lets all 911 calls go through no matter what. I did find that the "allow 11" was enabled. I shut it off. I think that will fix our problems. Thanks

    911 problem

Thanks that's a good idea. I was also thinking of changing the FRL on all the stations so that modems and faxes can not call 911. Is there a way to increase the FRL level for the 911 calls?

    911 problem

We have a Magix system (R2.1). Someone is calling 911 several times a day and hanging up. Needless to say, the 911 office is becoming annoyed by this. Actually, I do know that the call is coming from a fax or modem because the 911 office has indicated that they hear a “fax tone”. The...

Uniform dialing plan – how to set local extension ranges

I got it working. I had to add my local extension ranges to the uniform dial plan. I didn’t add or remove any digits and I set the “Net” field is set to “Ext”.
