Make sure the account used to start the services has permission to access those mailboxes. This account's requirements are explained in detail in the Administrator's guide.
Please install the newly release patch NB_34_2 from www.support.veritas.com. If this does not fix the problem you should open an instance with VERITAS support and report this as a bug.
From a command line run the bpexpdate command. This is found in the (UNIX) user/openv/netbackup/bin directory or (NT) installpath\veritas\netbackup\bin directory. The switches are -d 0(zero) -ev <media id> (i.e. bpexpdate -d 0 -ev xyz123 {where xyz123 is the barcode on the expired media})
The account used to start the NetBackup Client Service must be the same as the ODBC account and that account must have backup operators permission on the database. Refer to pages 51-65 in MSSQL pdf that is on your installation CD.
