SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 1 Problems

Using Veritas Netbackup DataCenter 3.4 I was backing up SQL2000 db's without any problems. As soon as SQl Server 2000 Service Pack 1 is applied it quits working. I have tried recreating the User DSN and Deinstalling the entire Veritas client (both netbackup and sql agent) and applied all the current patches, but the SQL Backup agent will not work.

If I deinstall SQL 2000 and reinstall it sans sql sp1 it works. However, we need SQL SP1 for one of our DB's to function correctly

Please install the newly release patch NB_34_2 from

http://www.support.veritas.com.

If this does not fix the problem you should open an instance with VERITAS support and report this as a bug.
