My brother has a computer problem that "has started for no reason". Any time he gets to a page with ActiveX an information bar appears with "Your security settings do not allow Web sites to use ActiveX controls installed on your computer. This page may not display correctly. Click here for...
zaznet - I actually wanted to take advantage of the different options for the "Scheduled Tasks" thought windows.
bcastner - that link is expired. do you have the info somewhere else?
for starters, just a simple .bat program. We are backing up specified directories to an archive server once a week. We also have a few maintainance scripts to run. they don't need to be run everyday, and do to bandwidth concerns, I don't want all machine running at the same time. I was just...
I need to create a task in Windows 2000 pro, but want it to run in the background so as not to intefere with the user. Any ideas? I didn't see anything in task scheduler that would accomplish this.
Has anyone found a way to globally disable "show in groups" in 2003. Outlook adds that option to the view of every folder. It is a little to frustrating.
Thanks for the idea but that's not it. his browser is set for medium and to accept 1st and 3rd party cookies. Also, that doesn't explain why you can end task on that window and never have it come up again the rest of the session.

I have new ibm thinkpads with the original 2000 image. If I try to update to sp2 for 2000 and reboot, I end up with "NTLDR is missing -- Press any key to restart". I also just happened when I did not upgrade 2000, but upgraded office to sp2. I really don't have much to add to that.
