After some investigation on the Internet there is a known issue with Broadcom NIC's (they are commonly used in DELL Machines) The solution is to uncheck the Power Management feature of the NIC and use 100mb half duplex. This seems to be working - so far. I would be interested in your feedback.

I had the same error message and noticed that my Internet Explorer hung and the browser would be hijacked on a regular basis. It seems that you are running "coolwebsearch" Use cwshredder.exe - it is great and fixed the problem in seconds...

I have found a solution. It seems that my problem had something to do with "coolwebsearch" that prevented add/remove from working AND hijacked my browser . Used "cwshredder.exe" and all is working again. Thanks for your help

Having spoken to the sender indeed it is a Publisher file with a .pub extension. The strange thing is that the file attachment looks like a .Tif file (i.e a tree) and this would explain why "imaging for windows" appears on her PC when she tries to open it. Maybe she initiallt saved it...
