I cannot open Add/Remove programs button on Win2000 Pro PC.
error Message "an unexpected error has occurred - wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment

Try this utility to install and uninstall programs, it's the jv power tool.

Run a scandisk and if that fails try to repair it from the boot cd.

Did you install anything prior to this event?

Try the following. Open a command prompt and then type the following:

regsvr32 mshtml.dll then press enter and ok
regsvr32 shdocvw.dll - i then press enter and ok
regsvr32 shell32.dll -i then press enter and ok

Then closed the command window and give add/remove programs a try.

I have found a solution.
It seems that my problem had something to do with
"coolwebsearch" that prevented add/remove from working AND hijacked my browser .
Used "cwshredder.exe" and all is working again.
Thanks for your help
