I don't know the reasoning behind it either, the tech on duty had to get the info from an engineer. I expressed my concern about it, he said there was talk of trying to put it back to the way it was...but nothing happening for the time being. I'm sure that they could issue a fix like you said...
I was on with tech support today, and remembered your thread. I inquired about it, and they state that only one fax machine
can be connected to the system, as it only allows you to identify one fax extension...regardless of # of co lines. Hope this helps.

I have the answer... had to call tech support, they had to find out from an engineer ! The STSe changed how the caller ID works, now on an ext. by ext. basis. The log will not show
transfered calls, only lines ringing at each ext. This means
that anyone wishing to use it, has to have a ringing...
I recently replaced this ksu, the caller ID works, and can check Answered and Un-answered log from ext's 100 & 101. No others work correctly...they display 0000 - 0000 when you dial the codes to view the logs. I wondered if it was a COS issue,
and I'll need to investigate further. Anyone had...
Nevermind the lights problem. I won't say that I have
it figured out, but it's fixed. I knew I had to be missing
something, so I took my ports out of VM ( DS 2000 ). Then I re-assigned them step by step. Odd that it still did not work until about 10 min. later. Started working and still does...
I am working on a system that was recently installed by
another. Voicemail has not yet been complete. They are
not using AA yet...canceling VM service from provider.
The mailboxes are all working, and VM will send a MW light
and # of msg. to the sets when new message from a system phone. The...
Thanks for the info TTT. That may be very useful, and I think they have an extra phone available too. You mentioning the lines makes me also wonder if I should check
the automatic line selection for that port. I'm not sure
when I'll get back to this job, but I'll let all know what
the fix was...
Thanks to both of you.
I don't think that it is due to the volume of calls since
there was no activity besides myself. I told my boss that
I would like to change the line cords ( just in case ).
Maybe I was on the right track with that. I believe all is
set up properly otherwise. I'll take it...
I hope someone can help. I was handed a partner II R3
with partner mail R3, recently relocated. Several problems
from VM that I have managed to correct. All that is left
is this: the message lights are not turning on when a new
message is present. I can use Ftr 09 and verify that they work...
