So there is no way to test them w/o having any other HiCom equipment? I had thought the customer said they were using them on a Partner system as single line phones, but i'm not seeing how...?
OK, I acquired a bunch of OPTIPOINT 500 Advance Phones in a lot auctions with other telecom equipment. I have the power supply for the phones. How can I verify that these phone work without the processing unit? Should the phones at least light up when plugged in?
Thanks!!
Just solder in a new battery, its not too hard if you are comfortable opening the processor shell, you can get a battery for $6 here http://www.futurepath.us/www/phpinclude/goItem.php?VID=1&sst=1&FPEses=b34c821ba98d7be34ab243a7d48e3a3a&proc=item&itf=pdpid&itemid=17
FYI
I have a cordless phone(not transtalk) with CID plugged into my Partner system that I use in the warehouse, it will only ring on transfered calls via Partner Mail, I do not regulaly get CID on it, but once in a while it will pass CID on, the CID log on the phone has about 7 or 8 logs and I...
Thanks for the info, so I guess a person can re-flash green backup restore and yellow upgrade cards for thier same purpose they were made for, but can not be flashed into a remote access/backup/restore card.
Thanks,
Matt
P.S.
How do you re-flash a card, do you use the picma slot in a lap top...
Has anyone heard of companies "re-flashing" old Partner Backup/Restore (the sea-foam green ones) to be "remote access/ upgrade cards" I have bought some "refurbished" Remote Access PC Card from a company (who's name I wont say, just to be nice) I though is was kind of strange that they were the...
oops I formatted my c drive
I have a Toshiba Satelite laptop that I was going to re-install windows 98 on due to a virus, the virus would not let me run any .exe file in windows or DOS so I went to DOS typed format c: and tried to install DOS it just says invaild disc format, so I made sure the...
Another Notorious problem with most MLS sets is the handset cord plug on the phone itself, this is one of those" Now that the tech is here it works" things! Just open the phone up, and place a small piece of paper folded about 3 times and stuff it behind the jack so it is no longer...
Yes, you can use a port off of the partner sys. to run an external bell and use the same port for a light signal, then just program that ext. for the line(s) you want to ring.
if you have any questions let me know.
Good Luck!
Step 1(#612) Assign contact closure 1 or 2 then the ext. that you have the contact closure device on.
Step 2(#613) Determine how you want to use this device.
Enter 1 or 2 then assign (1=1 sec on) (2=3 seconds on default)(3=5 seconds on) or (4=toggle)
Step 3 Determine what phone you need to...
Yes you can turn it off and on ( #613 then press contact number 1-2 then 4 to use the toggle option) but it can't be turned off and on via night or day mode you just have to program a button to turn it off and on.
Hope this helps!
True, you need to have at least a 1.1 proc. to do a flash upgrade, just walk up to any display phone and press feature 59 and it will display your proc. rel.
No Prob. look on the back of the 18D phone and you will see that that you have an aux jack, just run a base cord to the external ringer, if you can not plug into the ringer, cut off the mod end and use the tho center wires to wire it in. Hope this helps!
