I've got 6 Clients (9x\me\xp\osx) connecting to a WRT54GS. All can connect to the Internet fine. However, peer-to-peer access is very limited and shakey. At best, any one PC can ping one other, but thats it. You might be able to see one other PC in the workgroup, but that's it.
So it looks...
I've got an web host that requires logging into the POP server before the SMTP server, however Outlook 2000 does it the other way around by default. Apparently news versions of Outlook have an option to swap these but 2000 does not.
Anyone found a way around this?
We are running into a problem attempting to open or save files through the Word/Excel file/open or file/SaveAs menu into two particular directories on our server.
When you switch to the directories in question, the dialog will freeze while showing the list. We removed some empty directories...
No matter how I run IE (from desktop, start bar, .exe, etc) it opens up at the desktop. If I try to open a site directly by typing it in the address bar or in the run comment, it redirects to the c: drive root.
I've verified the home page
Verified the proxy settings
Searched the registry for...
I've got Acrobat 4.0 installed on an NT4.0 SP6 PC with the Novell Netware 4.8 client. When I print from an MS Office apprivation via PDFWriter to a drive mapping on a Novell server, I get the error 'File locked or in user'. This occurs regardless if the file is new, or replacing an existing...
That's just it, it starts fine. There's no error messages about it not starting on boot-up and it starts fine manually. It just won't start automatically. It's like it doesn't even try. However everything shows it set to auto.
The spooler service on an NT4SP6 PC is set to automatic. The service doesn't start on start-up and no error msgs appear in the event log. I can start the process manually fine without error.
Basically it acts as though the service is set to manual, however it is set to automatic. I've tried...
I've seen this. It normally happens when there is a space in the file name. It will try to open fragments of the path instead of the entire path. But for some reason, it will still open.
Not sure on a fix, but maybe that will point you in the right direction.
I have an NT 4 workstation which was logging into the workstation and into Novell. I've added it to the domain, however it will not login. Investigation shows that the Netlogon service isn't starting. On attempting to start the service it tells me that the service is disabled, however it...
Thanks for the help guys. Funny, I had actually thought of and implimented the SQL idea before I was able to get back to this. It worked great.
I've never been real sure about the recordset things. I'd be interested to learn though.
Jason
I've got values in variables in my code. I want to append a record to a table using these values.
I'm not using any recordsets. This is all running in Access 2000 and I'm calling the tables directly.
Forgive me, I am new at this.
Thanks!
Check your database sizes. Maybe someone's doing something which is causing a lot of extra data to be stored. If so, then this is just a symtum of a bigger problem.
You could create a new back-up job just for exchange and remove it fromt he original. See what the times are for each.
My division was sold to form a separate company. In our organisation, we have four sites each with one server. The new company consists of 9 offices throughout the US. I've moved the users around so that all my users are on my server. I've also registered a new domain and changes the SMTP...
I would very much like to know the details of your set-up.
1. What e-mail server are you using?
2. What e-mail client are you running on the handheld?
3. How does the handhelp connect? Direct dial into network? Thru Internet?
I appreciate your assistance.
I've got a Director who wants to access her Exchange mailbox from the road using a handheld. I could have her dial into an ISP or RAS here. Is there such a solution already created?
Thanks
I've got a director who "just absolutely can't be without e-mail at any time". She wants a handheld to access her Exchange box. Anyone done this? Are thier Palm or Windows CE solutions already established?
Thanks.
Bouncing? Same as rebooting? No, Internal messages are working as well as outbound. I didn't want to interupt everybody if it wasn't needed.
The queue doesn't seem to be a problem. No one can connect to me to get anything into the queue.
