The spooler service on an NT4SP6 PC is set to automatic. The service doesn't start on start-up and no error msgs appear in the event log. I can start the process manually fine without error.

Basically it acts as though the service is set to manual, however it is set to automatic. I've tried changing it, then back again with to success. All registry entries show auto as well.

Any idea on how to fix or where to find an error msg?

That's just it, it starts fine. There's no error messages about it not starting on boot-up and it starts fine manually. It just won't start automatically. It's like it doesn't even try. However everything shows it set to auto.

Why don't you remove the service or tcpip printing and re add it only problem is you might have to re-add the printers. Has this always been like this or is this just a recent thing? Njoy!
