IMS was down when I came in this morning. It kept crasing. It appears that I had a corrupted file in my outbound queue. I removed it by process of eliminated and not outbound works fine.

However, I cannot receive still. IMS is running, but cannot telnet to port 25.

This doesn't appear to be a firewall issue since I cannot connect internally either.

Any ideas? I'm running out of them.

There is a technet article on what to do with stuck queues. Have you tried bouncing the server?

Bouncing? Same as rebooting? No, Internal messages are working as well as outbound. I didn't want to interupt everybody if it wasn't needed.

The queue doesn't seem to be a problem. No one can connect to me to get anything into the queue.

Fixed it.

When the IMS went down, it messed up McAfee Groupshield. I restarted the Groupshield service and alls well that ends well.
