Perfect! thanks a lot. That's exactly what I wanted... I didn't want to have to give up a key to do it, but they can learn to live with that.
Thanks again,
Tan
I've got an IPO 403, V2.1. I've got about 10 4620 phones that work "OK", but a major complaint is that these phones don't display the time or date on the display. When I pick up the handset, and it picks up a line, the time and date appear, but I can't get them to stay there.
Any help or...
I was curious about your hardware, because this particular problem seems specific to IBM xSeries servers. The IBM servers use a certain type of SCSI controllers that use a STORPORT.SYS file that affects the way Veritas installs and operates. There's another document from Veritas that describes...
Ok, I was able to resolve this issue with a lengthy process provided by several documents from Veritas and Microsoft. It's a very strange little problem that has to do with the MSDE instance that Sharepoint installs by default, and Veritas not being compatible with it. Here is some information...
Just out of curiosity, what kind of hardware are you using Martin? What build of Veritas are you using?
I'm using an IBM xSeries 235 server, 6i controller, LTO tape drive, and Veritas BE build version 4691.1.
I've had the exact same problem with BE 9.1 with SBS2003. I've reinstalled almost a half dozen times, and nothing seems to work. I was able to get BE to install "properly" one time, but the very next reboot cause the server to go into a reboot cycle when it reached the Windows boot screen...
I have an IPO 403 running 2.1 (24) with VM Pro. My problem is IMS working with my Exchange 2000. IMS worked when I first installed and setup IMS with IPO 2.0(18) and all was well. When I went to 2.1.x, my IMS stopped working. I've tried reinstalling the DB and Gateway...
Hey fellas,
I've got a proposal in the works for a customer, and it's got me quite worried. They're a small bank with 6 branch offices, and a headquaters - which will all be connected by point-to-point T-1 circuits.
I'd like to know if anyone here has done this specific type of installation...
OH! So I called Avaya Tech support. The rep told me how to reset the phone (maybe you guys already knew this):
Press the HOLD key one time
Type in the word R-E-S-E-T using the numeric key pad
Press the # key one time
It asks you to confirm the reset, and then the phone reboots, and picks up...
Ok, that helps some. I thought I *was* using officially supported firmware =(
For future reference, how would I differentiate "supported" and "unsupported" firmware?
One last thing - "connect that 4620 to a multivantage"... I don't think I have access to a multivantage system to do the...
My 4620SW phone is dead after upgrading firmware:
I found an Avaya article this morning about a firmware upgrade for the 46xx series IP phones. I am currently using 2.0.1 on my 15 4620SW phones, and wanted to upgrade to 2.1.1 in hopes that it would fix my weird voice quality issues.
I...
I don't know if this will satisfy your needs, but I have the same setup on my IPO. I wanted the user appearances, but wanted to also be able to intercom them. So I programed all user buttons, and placed an Internal Auto-Answer on each phone, and set them to default on after reboot. Now, I can...
ok, this is really annoying to me. On my XP Pro VM server, whenever I open VM Pro, the Avaya splash screen comes up, but the font is screwed up or missing. All of the text comes up jumbled and crazy. I was able to fix it one time by installing 300 fonts (hoping one of them would do it) and...
It's working! So it turns out that I never actually created a valid CallBack StartPoint. I read the step by step instructions given by crashtest1000, and my interpretation of "add a default Callback start point" was to enable Callback for the user, and the StartPoint's there by DEFAULT! I...
I've heard directly from an Avaya project manager that IPO is supposed to support Key System features in release 3.0 which he said is roadmapped for November of this year. One of the features he specifically mentioned is the ability to see/access trunks by line appearance. I haven't seen...
Ok, I'm making progress now... I put in a VM Password, and the system now does a ringback to the extension, but not the pager. I've even removed the extension from SourceNumbers, but it still calls the extension. Should I even be using the Voicemail Ringback feature? What about Voicemail...
I didn't have an entry prompt for Callback, but I do now. I tried changing her SourceNumber from P*211 (pager shortcode) to P9[cellphone], but that didn't seem to make any difference. Using CallStatus, I can see that once the voicemail is left in the mailbox, no outgoing call attempt is made...
I've tried the step by step method that crashtest1000 posted, but haven't been able to get the system to call the pager. I've tested the shortcode, and it works from any handset. I've created the default Callback start point in Voicemail, and I've added the "P*211" to the SouceNumbers tab in...
Ok, thanks... however I'm still a little fuzzy as to what that light means. It appears that "If you have a Analogure card in slot B it wiill be ATM 1-4" refers to my situation, but is that light an indicator of an error? Is the light supposed to be on by design? or should I do something to...
On my 403 IPO, I installed a second 4 trunk card. After that, I configured the lines in Manger. But I noticed that there were 4 orange lights on the front DT ports - I think they were ports 3-6. I wasn't able to find any documentation on the lights, so I ignored them. The next day, it was...
