Just to close this issue, I was finally able to get to someone in support at Xerox who helped.
The problem is that I dont print enough to keep the ink from getting old and changing color. According to xerox,
the printer keeps about 1.5 toner blocks in liquid form at all times (assuming you...
I bought the 840 for doing photography. The only problem I have with the printer is that if you dont consistently print a lot of color, you will run into problems with this technology. I couldnt get blues to print correctly.
Turns out that according to Xerox support, if you dont print enough...
The key seems to be related to what icm I use. I dont know why the ones that come with the printer dont work. On the printer, I turned off all color correction and printed both a CMYK and RGB color map. The RGB value that is all Blue (R 0, G 0, and B 255) still isnt really blue. Its kinda...

I may end up selling...
What do I have to do to get powerpoint to print correctly?

What do I have to do to get blue? My screen will have blue and it comes out purple. If I print the same doc on an HP 4500 color laser...

The next page has not been picked up yet, and if you open the top cover, and close it without doing anything, it resets and the job starts...
definitely leave it on, unless you dont plan to print for a week or so. They dont tell you how much ink these things use if they go into power save mode, or are shut off.
Its way more expensive to replace the ink vs paying the electric bill.
when my 840 did that, I cleaned the rollers under the top cover with rubbing alcohol, and used higher quality paper.
I havent had that problem since then.
Hope it helps
