Can anyone please tell me why I get a Windows message when I log in to Winodws saying "C:\...reboot.exe Access to the specified device, path or file is denied. Could it be anything to do with protection against Sasser? [ponder]

Thanks Paparazi. After Micker's post I have decided to order a dual-fan PSU. The only problem is I don't know which way the heatsink fan is drawing the air. Also, how do I reverse the fan? Do I cut the wires and switch them around?

Well, as I said, the heatsink fan is right up against the power supply, so instead of the extracted air being free to escape, it is blocked by the power supply. I don't know how else I can explain this. The top of the case above the area where the power supply and heatsink are located feels...

I built this system inside a mini tower case with a massive Qtec heatsink/fan assembly, which almost touches the power supply, so the fan may not be extracting the heated air very efficiently. Is there anything I can do short of rebuilding the system inside a midi case, or using a cheaper...

I have tried pressing F8 repeatedly, but still all I get is 'Select first boot device'. When I go into the BIOS, there appears to be no option for selecting video settings. [sadeyes]

I tried F8, but all that comes up is first boot device selection. How do I start up in safe mode? Or how do I check my video settings? I presume this all refers to BIOS settings?

Before I switch my PC on, the LED on my screen shows orange. When I switch the PC on, the LED shows green while the system text messages come up. When the Windows XP start image comes up then the screen makes a slight clicking sound and goes blank, and the LED goes back to orange again. I don't...

Windows installation hangs in middle of copying files. I have tried it on two different disks that I reformatted. It used to work before on reformatted disks. Could the licence have expired? [ponder]
