    No Free Lines BCM 400

Thanks for the reply. At first I thought we were maxing out the PRI but after watching the monitor when the No Free Lines message appears, there still many lines available for use... in fact it just happened a few minutes ago and only 2 lines were being used. So strange. If I set up 4 Ring...

    No Free Lines BCM 400

Hi, I have been trying to troubleshoot a "No Free Lines" situation for a user to no avail. I am running a BCM 400 4.0 system with a PRI with 12 IP Trunks connected to another BCM 400 4.0 system in another site. Everything was working just fine but the receptionist (T7316E with 2 KIMs)...

What feature set and advantages do you get from Unified Messaging

In my case, we use CallPilot extensively for users that like to check their voicemails remotely... given the fact that there is no way to externally setup call forwarding on the BCM (still boggles my mind) CallPilot is an invaluable tool... Not sure if that's a good enough excuse to spend the...

    unified messaging

We use Unified Messaging CallPilot on our Outlook 2007 just fine. For what it's worth, we don't use the fax feature and CallPilot doesn't use Exchange - it just creates a local pst file on the desktop for voice mail.

    Power supply for BCM 400

Last Sunday our BCM 400's power supply died after about 2 years of use. I looked around the Internet for a replacement where I found a couple going for about $350. Call me cheap but I thought that was a bit much for what looked like a standard P/S... so instead I went to Best Buy and picked up...

    How secure is the BCM?

In lieu of publishing the BCM for offsite i2004 phones, I was wondering how secure is the Embedded Windows NT 4 OS on the BCM? Anyone's BCM get hacked from publishing it to the Internet? Thanks for your input.

    BCM Domain Change

Thanks for the quick reply... For some strange reason, the logins now work. I am thinking it could be some kind of sync issue with the domain controllers (i.e. domain change propagation delays?)

    BCM Domain Change

I was testing some stuff out on our spare BCM 3.5 and I added the machine to our domain... unfortunately I can't log into the System Manager using any of the old logins and/or domain level logins - it just says Invalid..blah blah. Any ideas as to how to get into this box before I wipe it...

BCM will be replaced after 3.7 is this true ?

Oh and according to my source, there is not going to be an upgrade option for current BCM customers (as of yet). I'm thinking it's going to be a whole new system - more money to spend... $.$

BCM will be replaced after 3.7 is this true ?

I am not sure if it's going to after v3.7 per se but, I have a good source that says that Nortel is moving away from Microsoft and getting into the Unix foray. The BCM's Embedded NT 4.0 is getting dated and without MS supporting the OS, I can't see why they wouldn't migrate to another platform.

    i2004 VPN capable?

Tried the retry count but still no go... ugh. It's always the little things (especially with Nortel).

    i2004 VPN capable?

The phone is setup in the branch office now for testing. The setup on the phone... static IP address in the branch office subnet. The phone is using the Branch Office's gateway address. The ports are confirmed to be open in both directions. Maybe I should change the phone to use the Main...

    i2004 VPN capable?

My i2004 works fine within the main office LAN. When I try to use it at a branch office it fails to find the server. The branch office has a permanent VPN (site to site) connection to the main office (where the phone works fine). This guy...
