I am having this same problem and cannot get rid of the error in Crystal 10. I am getting ready to upgrade to Crystal 2008 and the report runs fine there. Unfortunately the users are on hold for the upgrade indefinitely. Any other ideas?
I found a post on grouping on variable intervals, but it's not quite what I'm looking for. I am using Crystal 10 and the report runs against a .ttx file passed in from an application. I have data with a date field and I need to group on the date field based on the interval the user chooses at...
Thank you! I was wondering about using a text box. I'll try that. I am in a corporate setting where it takes forever to get a "hotfix", and to make a registry change for each user is even worse.
Did you ever figure this out? I am having a similar problem exporting to PDF from Crystal 10. All my columns of numbers are right justified (so the decimals line up) and the PDF export is cutting off the right half of the last digit of each number.
Thanks Rosemary, but the problem is that I DON'T want to have to use the "keep together". It leaves too much white space at the bottom of some pages. I want to fill each page until the bottom margin (leaving room on each page for the page footer to print correctly) and then continue on the next...
I tried a clean install of Crystal with the latest service pack and the problems are persisting. I have tried all the print drivers currently installed on our network and none of them are able to solve all the problems. Before I ask our network support people to let me try some other drivers...
Thanks. I am in a networked atmosphere where I have Crystal installed locally, but some of the .dlls are on a shared drive for use by Delphi applications that incorporate Crystal Reports and are distributed throughout the company. This makes it hard to tell if the service packs are correctly...
I have several reports where I am missing a single line of text when I have a string or memo field, set to "can grow" with "keep together" NOT checked when the field spans across a page break. I am using Crystal 10. It's like Crystal thinks it has room to print/display the row of text, but...
The service pack did not improve my report results. Now I am also having the same problem when I have a string or memo field that spans page breaks. I also tried changing my page margins, and in one case it fixed the problem of the missing line of text but now the page footer is missing! In...
Thanks, I thought of that but it's a multipage document that goes to customers and it just doesn't look very professional with uneven bottom margins. It looks like the service pack for Crystal 10 is supposed to address a problem with Crystal crashing when the "Keep Object Together" is checked...
I have several reports with numerous details sections. Each details section has a single text box and one paragraph of text. When the text box spans two pages, a line of text is missing in the preview and when I print it. If I change one of the values for almost any formatting text property...
I am having the same problem with an envelope report in Crystal 10. I do not have "new page after" checked in any section. We are using a .ttx file as the data source. The report prints out just one envelope at a time, for a corresponding letter (which is a separate report). Every time the...
I am working in Crystal 10 and have a very long report header (text information that should print just once per report) that stretches over 3 pages, followed by a short detail section (generally 3-5 lines). The report header section consists of about 30 paragraphs. I have put each paragraph...
Did anyone ever figure this out? I have a similar problem with a long field in my details section. I do not have any groups. I do not have "keep together" checked ANYWHERE. I cannot get the 1st record to begin on page 1 if the details section spans more than a page. If the details...
We have a number of Word and Excel documents we have made available over our intranet. The "forms" open in their native application. The problem I am having is that some of them have VBA code that should run automatically when the document is opened. The VBA works if I open the...
I have a report in Crystal 8.0, based on a query. At seemingly random intervals, the report comes up with "odd" data. The 1st 4 characters of most of the string data fields are truncated and the numeric fields are many times their actual value. It doesn't happen every time I run the...
I am working on creating a report in CR 8.0 to substitute for an old manual process of updating a ledger book. I am working from a query I constructed. I need to run a report which shows all individuals who have a transaction on a specific date. That is, I want to look for anyone who has a...
Yes. It's just the file with the large text object that hangs. The report with the individual fields exports just fine to the text file, but it is not exporting as a fixed width file. That is, even though I have entered a formula for each field to force it to a fixed width, the text file is...
