I had it all wrong... I took it from Access to SQL so a few adjustments were needed.
This worked perfect:
UPDATE APTLocal.dbo.[User]SET PersonUID = '999999'
FROM ((APTLive.dbo.Person INNER JOIN APTLive.dbo.Employee
ON APTLive.dbo.Person.PersonUID = APTLive.dbo.Employee.PersonUID)
INNER JOIN...
With the below code, I keep on getting the following error:
Server: Msg 170, Level 15, State 1, Line 1
Line 1: Incorrect syntax near '('.
Can anyone spot the problem please..?! Thanks!
UPDATE ((APTLive.dbo.Person INNER JOIN APTLive.dbo.Employee
ON APTLive.dbo.Person.PersonUID =...
Hi,
We're taking a look at SBS 2008 as it has a lot of features we would like to use as well as Exchange.
We have a domain in place that is controlled by a W2K machine, can SBS be put in place on our domain without being the controller and will it play nice?
Thanks!
I don't get an error message. I plug the drive in, XP installed it okay, and the Autoplay window pops up momentarily, but nothing shows.
In My Computer it has been given a drive name but you can't see the drive size and when I double-click on the drive, I get a pop up that says 'Disk is not...
Hi,
am in a bit of trouble here...
I wiped and installed XPSP2 Professional on a machine that was previously running Vista Home Premium as the machine was crawling. The guy who owns it copied all his files onto an external USB drive before I did the install.
Now the USB drive installs okay on...
Hi itsp1965,
To answer your first part, no, we don't need the terminal services, all we need is the Administrative Remote Access.
The server is also an application server, this application uses SQL and has been highly customized over the past few months and if there is even the slightest...
Thanks cmartin75, that does indeed work if you put it in like this:
mstsc.exe /v:server /console
That's only going to work as a temporary solution though as there would quite often be two of us that need to be logged in at the same time.
I didn't know that Terminal Services are supposed to be...
We have a Windows Server 2003 machine which we installed a few months back. It’s being used as a SQL Application server. Terminal Server was installed on it and the warnings about licenses expiring have pretty much gone ignored up until today when I discovered that the license has indeed...
Hi,
If someone can help me with this I'd really appreciate it!
I installed SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition on Windows Server 2003. This server is due to take over from our present Windows 2000 Server. It was my first time doing a SQL install, so I ended up calling the instance...
Hello!
Can anyone give me some advice on reformatting the drive of a HP Pavilion dv2000 with Vista Home on it, and installing XPSP2? I just started off an XP install there but setup couldn't find any hard drives.
I did a quick google and found bits and pieces here and there about how much of a...
Thanks for that! I just downloaded and installed MySQL Administrator straight from the MySQL website and it's working perfectly.
The PHPMyAdmin was recommended by the good folks on the OTRS website so I didn't think to look for an alternative as I'm brand new to this.
Thanks again!
Apologies for my noobness and apologies if in wrong forum.
On an XPSP2 machine, I set up this trouble ticket thing called OTRS a while ago.
It comes as a bundled installer with Apache2.2, MySQL, CRON for Windows, Perl and otrs itself. After a bit of jiggery pokery, it's all up and running...
Hi,
We have installed corporate edition build 8.00.9374, and are getting a lot of extraction errors across a few different machines. The event log says -'could not scan 'blah blah..' due to extraction errors encountered by the decomposer engines.' The files/folders which aren't being scanned...

Okay, problem solved. I just got told that if you add a letter to the username, apply and close. Then reopen, delete that new letter and also do a case change, it sticks that way.
Just tried it out and it works! [thumbsup2]
Hi All!
I'm having a problem with my Active Directory on a Windows 2000 Server. We recently installed Openfiler NAS and although it worked fine, it wasn't picking up all the correct info from the Active Directory. After a lot of head-scratching, it has now transpired that Openfiler is case...
