Thanks for your reply. There are 2 cables from the wall going into the router...The cables say cat 5 (24 AWG CMR Verified) and they have rj11 connections going into the SHDSL ports. There is also a sticker on each saying crossover. The cables are slightly thinner than a normal cat 5 rj45...

Hi, I have a cisco 1741 router which has our intenet connection attached via RJ11 shdsl ports. Basically I need to get a couple of longer cables. The cable says crossover, cat 5.. I am struggling to find any cat5 crossover with RJ11 connectors? Am I going mad? Cheers

yes, I can remote the server from the internal netwrok. It is from the other domain, but all the other servers are fine from there. Its just this one. Its doing my head in, Im sure I will kick myself when I find out why.

Yes remote desktop is enabled , although "select users" tab is grayed out..but I can remote form the LAN so that must not matter.. Windows Firewall isnt active. Thanks

Thanks Guys.. Another question if you dont mind.. When I change the max password age to 6 months, will this affect the accounts after I deselect the password never expires options. ie will the passwords take into account the length of time they have already been active.. I hope this makes sense.
