Hi,

I have been told I need to change the password policy for our domain to :

min 6 characters
complexity requirements
max age 90 days
last 5 passwords remembered

The question is if I change everything but the max age first, will all old passwords still work until I force them to change them, or will they no longer be able to log in if they dont meet the requirements(ie have 5 letters)

Any help would be appreciated..

Sry,

Forgot to ask my other question..

When I change the max password age form 120 to 90, will the users who's passwords have expired get an option to change it, or are they basically locked out until I change them manually?

Cheers

The complexity requirements and such will only be enforced on the next password change. The users with expired passwords will be prompted to change them during the next logon.
